Gallery - Richard Kellet Meteorite collection.
The meteorite collection was first started in 2012 by the very generous gift from one of the Societies members – Richard Kellet - of 9 meteorite samples. These meteorites were immediately used in the support of the Society's outreach activities and have become a very popular attraction in their own right. They now been viewed and handled by thousands of people and are used along with the planetarium, in shows that the Society attends and also as the subject of talks to the public and other societies. A number of additions have been made to the collection to include samples of other types; it is expected that the collection will continue to grow to become an even more valuable resource.
